Terms of Service

Last updated: 21 May 2026

These terms govern the website build services provided by OptimisedWebsite ("we", "us"). By placing an order you agree to these terms.

1. Scope of work

Each project is scoped based on the package selected (Essential or Pro) as described on our pricing page. The deliverables, page count, and included services are confirmed in writing before work begins. Any work outside the agreed scope will be quoted separately.

2. Payment terms

Payment is due in full before work begins unless otherwise agreed in writing. We accept bank transfer and major credit/debit cards. All prices are in GBP and exclusive of VAT where applicable.

3. Delivery

We aim to deliver within the timeframe stated for your chosen package (typically 5-7 working days for Essential, 7-10 for Pro). Delivery timelines depend on timely provision of content, access credentials, and feedback from the client.

4. Revisions

The Essential package includes revisions for 30 days after delivery. The Pro package includes revisions for 90 days. Revisions cover adjustments to the delivered work within the original scope — not new pages, features, or redesigns.

5. Intellectual property

Upon receipt of full payment, the client owns the source code, content, and all deliverables produced for the project. We retain the right to display the work in our portfolio unless the client requests otherwise in writing. Third-party assets (fonts, stock images, open-source libraries) remain subject to their respective licences.

6. Client responsibilities

The client is responsible for providing accurate content, imagery, brand assets, and domain/hosting access in a timely manner. Delays caused by incomplete or late materials may extend the delivery timeline.

7. Limitation of liability

Our total liability for any claim arising from the services shall not exceed the total amount paid by the client for the project in question. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages including lost revenue, lost rankings, or business interruption. We do not guarantee specific search engine rankings or traffic outcomes.

8. Cancellation

If you cancel before work has started, you will receive a full refund. Once work has begun, any refund will be at our discretion and will account for work already completed.

9. Confidentiality

Both parties agree to keep confidential any proprietary information shared during the project, including business strategies, analytics data, and access credentials.

10. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
